Restitución dentro de la contaminación

New Work, homework -Sunnyside School. English 6th
The true anecdote
Every day, when I am going to work, the first thing my eyes find,
 are the garbage cans *.
Mera coincidencia...
They all look terribly overloaded even though some are covered.
I can imagine what they have inside. Then I start smelling the disgusting odor when the sanitation men start to collect the cans and the noise of the truck annoys me very much.
The air will be contained pretty soon and it will be very hard
to breathe.
Everybody can see the way the sanitation men dress,
with the green and heavy overalls and strong leather gloves.
The garbage covers make many noises when they ate taking off
the cans to be empty and throw them down against the pavement.
I walk along the street trying to get off the block, where the sanitation truck is going through, before it reaches the next block which I will be walking on my way to the subway.
Now all that is behind together with the strong odor that bother the noise.
My eyes don´t have to see the garbage cans any more,
until the next day.
Contaminación abaja el firmamento...
My imagination starts feeling free and I try to concentrate on
new things like the weather, students walking along with me,
going to school, the lights at the corner which change suddenly
the bus stop, where the people wait.
I continue going to the subway and star walking a little faster
 when I watch the time.
Now it is 8 o´clock and I must be in my office at 9 a.m.
I get to the station and the nervous and impatient people worry me.
Everyone is rushing for a different reason, but I am pretty sure
that some of them are walking, that fast, just because others are doing so;
it contaminates them.
El POT tiende dar fin a la Sabana de Bogotá
I get into my “EE” train with some difficulty because my size
does not help me much when everybody pushes into the car.
I find myself at the subway and open my book,
feeling the joy it brings to me.
Reading and learning many words that I don´t quite understand,
but they are teaching me something new.
The teacher corrections
First: I didn´t write the title.
Second: “Very nicely done. You have a poetic quality”.
Third: An observations: “Don´t make such short paragraphs”.
I had two prepositions – in by on; “such” for many;  “taken”  besides taking.
I want to let this written in away to see how many mistakes I had,
at that time, almost 45 years ago.
*Cualquier parecido con Bogotá,
es mera coincidencia.
